DevLog 7/7


So it has been a while since I posted a DevLog here, almost a week now, so you all may not even be aware of all the changes that I have been making, but I am fundamentally changing the game, I have all the systems in place and working now that I wanted, and a bunch of systems that I didn't even think I could make in Python. Like an entire built in Gacha system for summoning weapons and armor, characters all have equipment now, stat point allocation, new stats in general making builds a thing. Skills are acquired via level up. Whole new pages in the book system. The equipment stat increases are completely randomized, and can be leveled up to make it stronger, while getting extra bonus randomized stats along the way. 107 items were added in this first update with more to come in all future updates I will be adding at least one new special character based item, This update has Rudeus's Aqua Heartia staff. Essentially the bones of the game got a huge revamp. The update is almost ready to go live to the patrons, It will be out tomorrow meaning it will be on here also, just priced the same as it is on there, for the people that don't want to support via patreon. 
For once I am actually really proud of something I made, it still has a lot of content that will be added over time in terms of story and all that, but the bones and structure of the game are in a spot now where I am satisfied with it. The only thing I am still not happy about, is I want to add more skills, have a system in place to replace existing skills, and I still have that lingering thing that has always bugged me and that is that the battle system is literally copied and pasted in its entirety for every new battle created. There is a way to condense it down by literally over 1000 lines of code, I just fought with it for months before I ever released the alpha 1 of the game and gave up on it about 6 months ago. So when that is condensed down and coded better I will be a lot happier. But yea thats it for this update. I released a video on how the game currently looks on my patreon post today, which I set to public so anyone can go there and check it out for free, or I will also just embed the video here if you want to watch it. Let me know what you think of the game so far.
